Freya Finds the Giants is one of my favourite projects to date. In 2025 I collaborated with author Johanna Klein to illustrate this warm, heartfelt picture book about love, loss, and sharing the way you see the world with the people who matter most.
Technique: I worked with a colour palette inspired by the wild landscape of Great Barrier Island, where the story is set. I crafted these illustrations using coloured pencil textures in Procreate. Some of the very first pencil sketches are shown below.
